Introduction to Aluminum Clad Doors
Our Aluminum Clad Doors are a collection of doors built with Modern Euro Tech with an intricate aluminum shield on the exterior. In other words, our Aluminum Clad Doors are just like our other doors built with Euro Technology but with a beautifully designed aluminum shield on the outside of the door. This aluminum layer is seen only from the exterior of the home. From the interior of the home, you see the door’s wood veneer with a stunning finish. The wood veneer keeps the door light and elegant while the aluminum cladding protects the door and gives it a modern look.
The powerful duality of the wood interior and metallic exterior can be seen in the supporting image. In this example, aluminum cladding was added to a pivot door. Please note that we offer our Aluminum Clad Doors as both traditional doors and pivot doors.
Aluminum Clad Construction
Our Aluminum Clad Door collection is uniquely constructed to optimize insulation, weather resistance, and durability. The following are just some of the features of this collection:
- Modern Euro Tech: While the benefits and details of Euro Tech was taught in the “Euro Technology” section of the Product Training, it is important to note that our aluminum clad doors are built with Modern Euro Tech. As with all our doors that use Euro Tech, the Aluminum Clad Door collection is made far more durable, thermally efficient, ad weather resistant with our unique technology.
- Aluminum Cladding: Whether you call it aluminum cladding or an aluminum shield, the aluminum exterior of this collection serves several purposes. First, the aluminum cladding protects the door from undesirable weather elements such as frequent sun exposure, heavy rain, dry air, and others. These elements are harsh on wood doors (especially solid wood doors). Our Euro Front Doors are much more resistant to these elements, but even they require upkeep. The best part about our Aluminum Clad Doors is that they are essentially no maintenance. The aluminum shield does all the work for you, and looks great doing it.
- Elevated Shield: Unlike most doors with aluminum cladding, our aluminum shield never actually touches the wood veneer: there is a small gap between the wood door and the aluminum shield. This allows for the wood to undergo crucial vapor diffusion and further helps improve insulation.
